Hey there! Styling and adding your own content to your website is super easy once you get the hang of it. Below you will find some quick how to videos on specific changes that you can and may want to make. Also step by step instructions will be written below video + tips that can help.

ADDING YOUR COPY

The process is the same in any page that you may encounter if you want to change the text of any field simply double click on the section or click edit and click the text portion delete and add your own.

  • Page > Double Click Text > Add your content

  • If the wording changes sizes or format simply click on the name of the format “Normal” “Heading 1” and change to the appropriate heading.


CHANGING BANNER / PHOTOS

The process is the same in any page that you may encounter if you want to change the banner image (image that is behind text) or a photo on a page.

Editing Banner Image:

  • Page > Select on “Settings” while hovering over the page OR Select the “setting” icon on by the name on the page on the navigation menu to the left > Media > Remove / Add Image

Editing Photos:

  • Select Photo > Click “pencil” icon to edit > remove/add your photo

    • Tip: If the image is larger than the one previously there and you see it changes the layout of the page simply crop the image to fit. Typically sized 1x1 or 2x3.

    • Select Photo > Edit > Crop > 1x1 adjust > Save


CHANGING LINKS

The process is the same in any page that you may encounter if you want to change the link on a button simply click on the button and add your link.

  • Select button > Click on setting icon > add your link > save > apply

    • Tip: It is usually good to select “ Open in new tab” when the content that you are linking to is outside of your website. That way your website remains open and accessible for your audience.

    • You can also add other fields such as your phone, email, pdf that your audience can download.

    • Before launching double check that all your clickable links / buttons go somewhere and are fixed.


LINTREE-ISH LINK PAGE

This page is great for you driving traffic to your own page! Instead of giving your intial ping to another third party application it goes directly to your own page. You get to maintain your branding, add and remove as much content as you would like.

  • Link Page> Edit by double clicking link

  • Tip: You can directly add products, blog photos, videos, and anything else that you would like to highlight straight into this page.

  • Play with your photo shape options. However if you want your photo to remain perfectly round you will need to crop the photo to be 1x1.

  • Copy this pages URL and add to your social medias.


Changing Logo

You are able to change your website title into having words or your actual logo.

  • Design > Logo & Title > Change your Title name or add your logo.

    • Tip make sure your logo has a transparent background & at least 250x250px.

    • Vector images are best, if you worked with a designer they should deliver in the right format.

    • No worries if you don’t have a logo! Use your business name works just fine!

    • When you add the logo to the bottom of the screen add a link and route it to your homepage.


EDITING CONTACT FIELD

Your contact page can be edited as you wish. The main thing is to make sure that you route where the information is going to the right destination such as correct email.

  • Tip: Edit your form to have as much critical information that you may need so when speaking with client you are informed in what they want.

  • You can also add fields such as best time/day to call and put time frames that works for you. If you’re just getting started this can help save a few bucks on needing a scheduling service until ready for something more robust.


EDITING BLOGS

Your blog post are a great source to add traffic to your website. Also a great area where you can answer in debt questions in regards to your business. Think of questions that people always ask about and answer them in a blog post

  • Tip: Use your blog post as leads too, you are able to add links/buttons to other location to your site.

  • You can add product features directly on your blogs.

  • Use previous blog post as templates or create your own blog template that works for you. Then duplicate that template every time you write a new post and update the content. This will help you save time in the long run.


EDITING SHOP ITEMS

Your shop/product feature can be very robust you are able to link to other platforms and sell different formats of services.

  • Tip: Use previous product post as templates or create your own product template that works for you. Then duplicate that template every time you create a new product and update the content. This will help you save time in the long run.

  • Play with where you plug your products in through your website.

  • To do so add “product” block and search the product, edit what you would want to be shown.


STYLING WEBSITE COLORS

When it comes to editing the actual STYLE meaning the colors, fonts, the character of your business this is where you will go. To change a color of anything head over to your Style navigation. Then anything that you select on your website will bring up options to be changed.

  • Tip: Head over to your “Style Guide” page. Here there will be alot of content that is throughout your website that you can easily view in one location while making state wide changes.

  • There is a style page on a regular and style on a page with background image. This will help as if you have banner images on your website the styling of the content on it will change.

  • Footer has it’s own styling features too.


MOBILE VIEW STYLING

Some style changes that you make on your main page may not change automatically within your mobile view. So it is essential that you also change your view to mobile and view.

  • Style > by search bar select “Show All” > type “Mobile” within search bar

    • this brings up all options to edit within the mobile view.

  • Tip: At the top of the screen change to mobile view.

  • Top header, footer, menu background color and menu font are typically what would need to be changed if you have made changes such as fonts style and colors that differ from the initial template style.


UPDATING FONTS

Updating your font’s is super easy! Click on the font style you want to change and scroll through the font section until you find the font you are looking for.

  • Style > Select Font on page > Change “font” in menu

  • Tip: Remember to consider your font paring. Good time to reference the Canva Style Guide where you can try to figure what font style/format you would like to.

  • Rule of thumbs try to keep your fonts to 3 max otherwise it start to look messy and confusing.
